Accounting Manager – Payroll (Dallas)

Responsibilities: 

This position will be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 senior Accountants and will oversee multiple business units’ day-to-day functions. This position will also be responsible for various general ledger procedures, including month end close, journal entry, and account reconciliation review and preparation, variance analysis, and internal reporting. This role will support group deliverables and compliance with external auditors, internal SOX requirements, and internal audit. This role supports multiple business units across multiple locations; strong communication skills will be necessary to support multiple internal customers. This role will be challenged to seek, propose, and drive process improvements across its areas of responsibilities.

Requirements: 

Minimum Requirements

5+ years accounting experience

Critical Skills
• 5+ years general ledger accounting experience
• SAP or other large ERP experience
• Strong experience with reporting and variance analysis
• Strong analytical skills in reviewing trend data and exception recognition
• Strong experience creating and analyzing large amounts of data
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel (v-lookups, pivots, functions)
• Ability to engage and influence multi-level staff up to executive management
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP principles and internal control environments

Additional Knowledge & Skills
• Previous public accounting experience preferred
• MS Access, SQL or other database experience
• Contract interpretation and analysis experience
• Experience working in a team environment
• Process improvement exposure preferred
• Adaptable to changing environment/technology
Education

4-year degree in accounting or related field

Certifications/Licensure

· CPA required

Accounting Manager – Intercompany (Dallas)

Responsibilities: 

• Primary contact for the intercompany group
• In charge of leading the month-end close for the intercompany group
• In charge of making sure deliverables are completed timely for intercompany reporting schedules
• Leading a team of 2+ team members and making sure the team’s workload is properly distributed
• Effectively communicate with leaders of other groups within company on a consistent basis
• Lead or participate in automation and efficiency projects
• Ad-hoc technical accounting research

Requirements: 

Minimum Requirements
5+ years accounting experience including 2+ years managerial experience

Critical Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Masters preferred)
• 5+ years of accounting experience (2-3+ years in management)
• Knowledge and experience with financial statements and intercompany accounting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences – i.e. different business unit partners)
• Public Accounting experience either with Big Four or medium size accounting firm
• CPA required
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

• Strategic thinker and problem solver with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated process improvement background
• Team player with demonstrated ability to lead and build cross-functional relationships
• Prior success working in a fast paced and highly matrixed environment
• Effective prioritization and multi-tasking abilities
• Experience with Access or SQL

Education
4-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience
