Fixed Asset Accountant

Accretive Solutions’ Consulting Practice has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit a Fixed Asset Accountant to join their team, located in the Ann Arbor, MI area.

Responsibilities: 

• The fixed asset accountant will be accountable for recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets.

Requirements: 

• 3-5 years of fixed asset accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
• Manufacturing experience
• Fixed Asset System: Sage (preferred but not required)
• Accounting Systems (until Oracle EBS is implemented): Baan, ABS, Excel spreadsheet experience
• Must be detail oriented; Ability to jump in and be resourceful, ask the right questions, be proactive when they need more work to do and highly effective communication, follow up and detail orientation.

Project Duration:
• Project is approximately 6 months, but may extend especially if the candidate has a well-rounded experience because there is plenty of work to do and possible room for advancement.

Business Analyst

Accretive Solutions’ Consulting Practice has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit Business Analysts to join their team, located in the Greater Detroit area.

The Business Analysts will play a pivotal role in assisting with several large scale projects.

Responsibilities: 

• • Ability to understand end-user requirements, and prioritize them appropriately
• Act as the liaison between the Legal and IT Departments
• Document processes
• Work with the Project Manager(s) to identify potential issues/roadblocks, escalate issues when needed and keep the projects on track and meet milestones
• Attend meetings and summarize the meeting content, communicate to managers
o Use the info learned at the meetings to piece together both the details and bigger picture of the project
o Identify trends or issues - escalate issues to managers
o Ability to quickly identify problems, ask the right questions to fully understand the problem(s) and communicate/escalate to manager. NOT necessarily design a solution, but take the time to fully understand the problem and articulate the issue(s)

• Work with various internal and external IT partners to define best solutions for future-state Operations ensuring solution is flexible and accommodating to future innovation and growth strategies
• Support a successful proof of concept for a key process area in the new system
• Aid in change management and acceptance, including communication and training

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree Required.
• 5+ years in customer service preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively work with employee and external partner resources
Skilled with Microsoft products, in particular MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint
• Able to work on multiple teams and prioritize efforts based on program objectives and timeline
Capable of working with stakeholders to define and document reporting and analytics needs
