Accretive Solutions’ Executive Search Practice has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit a HR Manager to join their team, located in the Greater Detroit area.

Responsibilities: 

• Administer various human resource programs, procedures and policies.
• Coordinate companywide employee related communications and announcements.
• Partner with executive management in all aspects of human resource needs and planning initiatives.
• Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies.
• Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
• Conduct recruitment effort for all personnel and conduct new employee orientation.
• Maintain company organizational charts and human resource information system records.
• Advice management in appropriate resolution of employee relation issues.
• Maintain historical human resource records required by law through designing a filing and retrieval system.
• Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings throughout the organization.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field of study
• 7+ years of progressive Human Resource Management experience
• Leadership experience

Accretive Solutions’ Executive Search Practice has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit a Sr. Accountant to join their team, located in the Greater Detroit area.

The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements and related analyses for the company. This position will also prepare various account reconciliations on a monthly basis, assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, and provide assistance to management during external and internal financial and third party audits.

Responsibilities: 

• Prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements for 6-8 entities, prepares written summaries to senior management ensuring accurate reporting of financial information analyzing cash, receivables, payables, debt, equity, fixed assets, revenues and expenses.
• Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.
• Assists in preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Assists in analysis of departmental budgets. Prepares budget materials for distribution to communities, maintains the budget database and trains department leaders in use of this system.
• Conducts special projects as requested by management including analysis of historical data, trends and effect of potential financial changes. Assists management in the development of proposals, monitoring of funds and preparation of regulatory filing as required by various federal and foreign authorities.
• Prepares various balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Plays major role in preparation of the year-end financial reporting package distributed to all divisions. Analyzes and reconciles receivables, payables, revenues and expenses to the general ledger.
• Communicates regularly with Administrators to provide them with an understanding of accounting procedures and policies. Communicates financial information including current results, projections, budgets and audits to personnel ensuring understanding and accounting of various issues.
• Performs financial projections and viability studies for new business ventures.
• Provides assistance to management during review of financial statements and related schedules and special project analysis.
• Prepares federal tax filings in accordance with regulations in a timely manner.
• Designs, utilizes and maintains financial systems which enable the Accounting Department to efficiently manage financial data.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree Accounting, Finance, or General Business
• CPA Certification preferred
• 3+ years of related experience
