Financial Reporting Analyst 28- #95079

Accretive Solutions’ Executive Search practice has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team, located in the Metro Detroit area.

The Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of various financial statements including the quarterly 10-Q, annual 10-K, and various defined-benefit and defined-contribution financial statements. The Financial Reporting Analyst will also be involved in various analyses and other special projects.

Responsibilities: 

• Assistance with the preparation of the quarterly 10-Q’s and annual 10-K and related analyses.
• Support international and domestic locations on accounting and reporting issues.
• Assistance with complex U.S. GAAP areas, including employee benefits.
• Preparation of annual defined-benefit and defined-contribution financial statements.
• Work directly with internal and external auditors to provide analysis and any required audit documentation necessary for the successful completion of any audit.
• Work closely with Supervisor of Financial Reporting and Manager of Financial Reporting to ensure finance reporting processes are in compliance with company policy, US GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Daily and monthly General Ledger responsibilities.
• Support implementation plans to address new accounting developments.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• CPA Certification preferred
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in accounting/finance

Audit Supervisor 28- #97158

Accretive Solutions’ Executive Search practice has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit an Audit Supervisor to join their team, located in the Greater Detroit area.

The Audit Supervisor will be responsible for performing individual internal audits, as party of the overall internal audit plan. This including performing internal audit procedures, directing the work of others on the team as necessary, reviewing the work of others as necessary, as well as prepping internal audit reports.

Responsibilities: 

• Writing and presenting audit reports describing scope, objectives, conclusions, findings and recommendations.
• Ensuring workpapers fully support conclusions and conform to departmental and professional standards.
• Assisting in/review of the work performed by other internal audit personnel (and provide appropriate feedback/comments, including resources from the co-sourcing staff (internal personnel and/or external personnel).
• Planning, conducting and reporting on audits designed to review the accuracy of financial information, to review the controls that have been established to ensure compliance with certain laws and regulations, and to review the means for safeguarding company assets.
• Partnering with the business to assess risks on non-complex subjects.
• Accumulating pertinent data, organizing material, using sampling techniques and analytical skills, making detailed analysis of existing conditions and appropriate recommendations.
• May be called upon to perform non-complex special investigations as well as functions requiring the application of specialized auditing principles and practices with limited supervision.
• Assisting Internal Audit management with periodic reporting to the Audit Committee, development of the annual internal audit plan, and championing internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the business.

Requirements: 

• 3-5 years of experience in public accounting/auditing in a corporate environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• MBA/CIA/CISA/CFE certification preferred
