Sr Director of Technical Accounting

Accretive Solutions is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial professional services organization with a 30+ year track record of leadership and with offices across the United States. The firm is a leading provider of a broad range of services to emerging and leading global companies, including accounting, finance, internal audit, SOX compliance, operational design and systems selection, deployment and optimization. To accelerate our projected growth, we are recruiting a Senior Director, Technical Accounting to work primarily out of either our Mountain View or San Francisco office.

Responsibilities: 

The primary responsibilities of this position will include:

• Providing sound and well-documented accounting conclusions to both our internal team and directly to clients.
• Building relationships with clients and becoming a go-to source for US GAAP and IFRS compliance matters.
• Building and/or maintaining technical expertise in a broad range of accounting matters, including SEC reporting, revenue accounting, equity accounting, purchase accounting, restructurings and impairments.
• Assist clients with the preparation of SEC filings under the 1933 and 1934 Acts, including filings on Form S-1, S-3, S-4, 10-K and 10-Q.
• Develop and provide training seminars to consultants, clients and prospects on recent accounting pronouncements, SEC reporting regulations and emerging accounting issues.
• Provide guidance in maintaining the company’s internal website which serves as a resource to consultants in researching accounting issues and best practices.

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 8 years of experience
• CPA with Big 4 experience (manager or higher level preferred)
• Private industry experience at Vice President or Senior Director level
• Extensive, up-to-date technical accounting and SEC knowledge
• Experience performing contract reviews and resolving complex revenue recognition issues
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to research various technical accounting issues, propose appropriate treatments and discuss at the highest levels of company leadership
• Master’s degree in Accounting is a plus

Executive Search Recruiter - Accounting & Finance

Working in a team environment, the executive search consultant will be focused on identifying, qualifying and presenting talented candidates for accounting, finance, tax and treasury roles within our client’s organizations. This will largely be accomplished by proactively identifying passive candidates and engaging them in career opportunity discussions in order to understand their career aspirations and determine a fit with client needs.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related business discipline preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Previous experience in a recruiting or search capacity. Experience in the accounting and finance disciplines highly preferred
• Demonstrated success in being able to identify and present viable candidates in a timely manner
• Proven ability to present to and communicate effectively with various levels within the organization, ranging from mid-level through the C-suite highly desirable
• Demonstrated proficiency in being able to manage multiple priorities and schedules that result in the most effective use of time spent across many activities
• Proven attention to detail and quality in preparing candidate notes and summaries in a timely manner
• Previous experience in business development roles preferred; as this role may require account management responsibilities
• Extensive experience or aptitude in various Talent Management Systems such as Taleo, VURV, Bullhorn, or other candidate tracking systems preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing various social media tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Facebook, or other related systems in order to source and maintain candidate relationships and referrals.
• Experience using all MS Office products with an emphasis on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Motivated, high energy self-starter that has a demonstrated ability to be successful and drive personal results that exceed expectations.
