Internal Audit Lead

Internal Audit provides independent assessments of The Company’s governance, risk management and internal control environment for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management and the Bank’s regulators.
The Internal Audit group is organized into the following specialty teams: Financial and Accounting Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, Credit Risk (loan review) and Information Technology Risk. This position is specific to the Compliance Risk Internal Audit team.
The Compliance Risk Lead Auditor is responsible for leading and executing internal audits of business units, risk functions, financial reports, key processes, computer systems and significant transactions of the Bank to determine adequacy of the control structure, mitigation of risks and effectiveness and efficiency of processes.
This role contributes to the timely delivery of high quality, value added assurance for a wide range of business activities.

Responsibilities: 

• Exercises independent judgment in identifying issues and assessing risk
• Formulates findings, prepares executive summary reports and reviews findings directly with line management and senior management
• May evaluate the effectiveness of controls in automated systems and perform automated data analysis to support the overall audit effort
• Designs audit procedures that test for regulatory compliance and the effectiveness of internal controls
• Provides consistent quality customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds bank standards
• Assigns staff to complete specific audit procedures or projects and reviews work
• Assists in performance of risk assessment of business operations and processes
• Conducts post-audit follow-up to appraise adequacy of corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions
• Participates in completing specific audit procedures and/or projects.
• Plans, performs, supervises and reviews audit fieldwork, completing assignments within budgeted timeframes and resources.
• Prepares a draft of the report and recommendations to be presented to the Audit Manager/Director
• Presents and discusses audit findings as well as draft of recommendations with Bank Management
• Executes internal audits of business units; Responsible for conducting independent compliance reviews
• Assesses quality, risk, compliance with established policies and procedures

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of related experience
• Supervisory experience a plus
• CRCM, CIA, CRMA, or CFSA designation preferred
• Demonstrated execution capabilities according to strict timetables
• Ability to quickly learn new information technologies and systems in order to evaluate controls
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven interpersonal skills; Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong technology and computer skills
• Knowledge and experience with bank regulatory requirements and non-consumer regulations desired

Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst

Accretive Solutions’ Executive Search Practice, now a part of RGP, has been engaged by an excellent distribution company to recruit a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst to join their team, located in Dallas. They are looking for a detail-oriented, 3+ year cost accountant with advanced Excel skills. Candidate must have strong cost accounting (standard cost – unit level) and inventory experience. Responsibilities: 

Key Job Responsibilities
• Month end close for all US inventory and related cost of goods sold accounts. Monthly JEs as assigned.
• Reconcile and maintain all inventory and related accounts, with proper analysis.
• Quantity on Hand and Inventory Reconciliation/Walk forward reports, monthly valuation and reporting of all inventory (RM, WIP, FG) as well as inventory reconciliation between warehouse tracking system and ERP systems. Attain expert level knowledge of inventory application and software functions relative to inventory and COGS.
• Development of standard costs for inventory, including product purchase price, freight, duty, broker, and overhead, and subsequent variance analysis.
• Preparation of special reports to support cash forecasting, inventory forecasting and other ad hoc reporting requirements including providing information to support sell off of excess inventory.
• Participate in compilation and preparation of monthly reforecast of Inventory and COGS as well as the annual budgeting process

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of cost accounting and inventory (GAAP) principles, strong knowledge of inventory controls and systems, strong knowledge of standard cost development and analysis, solid understanding of procure to pay business cycle and related inventory business processes, strong problem solving and decision making skills, detail oriented with ability to create executive summaries.
• Excellent communication skills
