Application Support Specialist

Accretive Solutions’ Consulting Practice has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit an Application Support Specialist to join their team, located in the Greater Detroit area.

This role will interact w/ Business Partners and define processes to improve helpdesk, etc. Will not be a task taker. Interested in candidates w/ strong applications experience. Supports a group of applications ensuring stability and driving efficiencies.

Responsibilities: 

Senior Application Specialist supports a group of applications ensuring stability and driving efficiencies. Senior Application Specialist works closely with Supplier Partners providing production support and overseeing the day to day operations ensuring SLA's / KPI's are met. Senior Application Specialist supports software and hardware maintenance and upgrades, monitoring application availability and performs RIC function for SR's. The Senior Application Specialist provides daily guidance to supplier partners in providing: 24x7x365 application incident support responding and resolving issues submitted through the ticketing system.

Requirements: 

* Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related area and 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.* Project management / Business Analyst / Application architecture experience in successfully delivering complex technology solutions within a defined SDLC.* * Troubleshooting / Root cause analysis experience * Understanding of SLA / KPI metrics for applications* Helpdesk SME experience to successfully work with CRM solution providers and call center agents. * Enterprise solution experience.

Requires to have Level 2 and Level 3 hands-on experience
 Level 2 support –Level 2 generally handles break/fix, configuration issues, troubleshooting, software installations, hardware repair (including in-house repair or coordinating depot services).
 Level 3 support – Troubleshooting, configuration, database administration, and repair for server, network, infrastructure, Data Center, email, file shares, and other infrastructure issues.

The role does not require to write code, but…….WebSphere 855 JAVA hands-on experience are KEY: : IBM UDB, Solaris, AIX, Java knowledge, 3 tier client server architecture, security, Siteminder, Firewall or Network knowledge, Service Now CSM or any CRM experience is preferred as well.
