Business Analyst - Oracle Project, Fixed Assets

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Play the role of Business Analyst/ Functional consultant for the implementation of Project Accounting, Asset Tagging and Asset Tracking modules
• For planned projects take the lead role in:
• Assisting with the business case
• Planning and monitoring
• Requirements management and communication
• Requirements analysis
• Translating and simplifying requirements
• Use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation and deployment.
• Works closely with the IT teams to deliver enhancements on the deployed Production System
• Provide training to various financial users
• Maintain and set-up globally consistent standard reports, and provide ad-hoc reporting guidance
• Use broad understanding of business and systems to identify possible business issues related to system designs, and evaluate enhancement requests from users
• Partner with other system owners to ensure data quality, timing, and financial reporting impacts are fully understood
• Coordinate user acceptance testing for new system or enhancement releases. This involves assistance with creation of test cases and follow-up to ensure users complete testing per the schedule.

Responsibilities: 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience working with Oracle EBS R12
• Experience in the following areas is strongly preferred:
• Oracle Fixed Assets, Asset Tracking, Asset Tagging
• Oracle Project Accounting, Project Costing
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to understand and assimilate new ideas and manage change
• Excellent planning and organizational skills combined with strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and some technical accounting knowledge with strong attention to detail
