Client Development Manager

The Client Development Manager (CDM) is responsible for leading the identification, pursuit and generation of professional services solutions sales and project resources with new and existing clients as well as further developing and managing relationships within our existing client base. This position requires aggressive activity, independent initiative and a high orientation in providing outstanding client service. The successful Manager will have proven sales experience in consulting solution sales as well as proven success in meeting and exceeding revenue targets.

In addition, the candidate should have experience interacting with C-level executives as well as developing and maintaining relationships across client organizations. In this role, the CDM will be responsible for all phases of the sales cycle with the focus of building new relationships and driving consulting business in new accounts and cross selling solutions and services.


 Represent Accretive Solutions and cross sell all of our service offerings within the assigned Accretive Solutions’ client base.
 Build relationships and identify opportunities at all levels, including the C-level, within the CFO, CIO, and CAE organizations. Willing and able to invest time and join and participate in key networking and functional groups within the market.
 Build credibility, trust and client perceived value by working with the client in a consultative manner.
 Responsible for prospecting, identifying, and developing new client opportunities and expanding existing client opportunities within your territory.
 Navigate through large, complex client organizations that may have multiple barriers to entry (geographical, political, etc.) in order to establish a presence and deliver results.
 Responsible for developing a sales pipeline to ensure balanced size, shape, and quality of pipeline with disciplined management ensuring quota targets are met or exceeded.
 Influence, persuade and manage client relationships at all levels throughout the client organization, particularly at the “C” levels, in order to ensure success for the client and Accretive Solutions.
 Responsible for understanding the client’s business issues, strategies, and initiatives in order to recommend the appropriate service offering, and their compelling reasons to act, in order to apply our consulting solutions in support of their business.
 Maintain a current understanding of competitors’ services and pricing.
 Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow up activities.
 Build exceptional relationships with all internal groups (consulting leadership, practice directors, recruiters and sales team) across the organization to ensure seamless selling of Accretive Solutions’ consulting solutions and to establish clear expectations for resource alignment and support.
 Responsible for achieving year-over-year revenue growth and meeting or exceeding established sales targets and quotas.
 Responsible for remaining current on competitive intelligence and recommending winning strategies to address market conditions.
 Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow up activities within their assigned territory.
 Assist local leadership team in the development and execution of local go-to-market strategies and marketing efforts

 Assist in the training and development of lesser experienced client development personnel via
coaching, mentoring and teaming.
 Collaborate with Regional/Market leadership to develop


 Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
 Knowledge of finance, accounting and business IT helpful, but not required.
 Demonstrated success in solution selling, preferably services, to large clients.
 Strong cognitive ability and intellectual curiosity.
