Financial Systems Analyst (both Downtown Dallas and N. Dallas)

Accretive Solutions’ Executive Search Practice, now a part of RGP, has been engaged by a large, professional services company to recruit a Financial Systems Analyst to join their team, located in Downtown Dallas and North Dallas (will divide their time between the 2 offices). They are looking for a very intelligent, articulate and professional candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in business and 3+ years’ accounting/finance experience in a professional services firm. Responsibilities: 

Basic Function
This exempt position is part of the team that supports the Firm’s financial business systems and provides information, primarily financial in nature, about Firm activities that will assist the partnership, management and other users in making economic decisions about the Firm’s future.

Essential Duties
1. Provide assistance to the Manager and Director of Finance in the day-to-day operations, primarily supporting Elite 3E and its other business applications that integrate with Elite.
2. Provide high quality financial and statistical reports to internal clients.
3. Develop and analyze revenue and expense budgets.
4. Analyze and report on client, matter and timekeeper performance.
5. Develop, test, validate and distribute complex reports using SQL, SSRS and/or other reporting and analysis tools based on firm requirements.
6. Act as liaison between the IT and Finance department and work closely with Finance personnel in direct support of the Firm’s financial systems.
7. Assist with system balancing and data audit activities.

Other Duties
Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.

Reporting Relationship:
The Financial Systems Analyst reports to the Manager of Finance and also will work closely with others at various levels throughout the firm.

Requirements: 

Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
• A general knowledge in accounting processes, financial systems and databases, along with
an understanding of the business functions is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years’ work experience is preferred.

• Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to follow-up and strong follow through
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
• SQL and SSRS skills are an advantage
• Experience using Elite is an advantage

Education: Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or a related field is required.
