IT Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for deploying client solutions as well as helping clients achieve superior results from deployments. This is a hands-on position that requires strong project management skills and client interaction skills.


Manage client projects; manage client expectations, communicating status to client management regularly; define issues and manage to resolution as appropriate to support 100% customer satisfaction.
Manage project resources, including professional services and other company resources participating in the project (e.g. Custom Engineering, Support Engineering, etc.)
Deploy and configure IT solutions

• Provide functional leadership on client engagements, assuming overall project management responsibility for success of the implementation
• Communicate project status accurately to client and  management
• Develop strong working relationships with client and internal team members
• Manage technical consultants assigned to the project
• Generate project documentation; project plans, design documents, test plans, etc.
• Gather requirements and drive mapping of requirements to client’s features
• Drive gap analysis and gap resolution process
• Guide application configuration & acceptance testing
• Lead technical implementation work
• Utilize structured methodology
• Assist/guide technical infrastructure planning and implementation services


• Bachelor's degree in an accounting or technical discipline
• Consulting experience preferred – Big4 experience a plus
• Strong project management skills, PMP certification highly desired
• Expert level proficiency in project management methodologies and software tools, such as MS Project. 
• Understanding of enterprise financial applications, such as Oracle, SAP and PeopleSoft
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently
• Solid work ethic with a desire to exceed client expectations
• Ability to work independently to identify, qualify and help pursue additional revenue generating services opportunities at the client location
• Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley principles desired
