Project Manager

Accretive Solutions’ has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit a Project Manager to join their team, located in the Metro Detroit area.
In this position the project manager will monitor and manage project health and performance by providing project leadership, facilitation, communication and customer relationship management expertise on assigned projects and transfer business knowledge to other members of the project team and facilitates collaboration throughout project lifecycle.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage all aspects of multiple projects throughout project lifecycle.
• Monitor, track and report project performance to management and stakeholders.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business customers and stakeholders, thoroughly understanding their business needs, expectations and objectives.
• Interact and communicate effectively at all organizational levels to manage project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business process/portfolio management office to continuously improve and mature project management capabilities

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• 7 years large-scale program/project management experience including business projects/programs.
• Insurance or financial services industry experience preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification preferred.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge and application of Project Management Institute (PMI) standards.
• Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Project preferred.
• Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.
• Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines.
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects from conceptual phase through implementation and testing.
