Senior Financial Analyst

Accretive Solutions’ Consulting Practice has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team, located in the Metro Detroit area.


· Familiarity with procure to pay business process including ability to understand how purchases reqs are processed and purchase orders approved.
· Ability to work with and manage data extracts in MS Excel; Produce reports in Excel
· General knowledge of std cost system and how std hours used to value inventory – this understanding critical to understanding the importance of using this data as the denominator in the control tower tracking. This data point is uniquely able to provide the right basis for adjustment to plant volume and mix changes.
· General ability to problem solve in hands on manner - this person may need to take existing examples and apply to a variety of plants. The difference in ERP systems will create the necessity to define and create the base control tower inputs from “scratch”. This data is unlikely to be off the shelf as all implementation have required some amount of custom report generation.
· General familiarity with min/max concept and the fundamental economics behind the desire to select the correct qty/price point when ordering
· Self-motivated
· Finance background preferred


· 5+ years of experience
· Needs to understand the procure to pay process, the value and importance of controlling the req to PO to open order to expense process
· Strong MS Excel skills required
· Finance/Accounting as a background
· Needs to have the maturity and people skills to work independently, follow up, ability to challenge the status quo and influence over others
· Will be looking at the multiple ERP systems in Powertrain and aligning them to AAM processes
