Sr. Director, Financial Services

The Sr Director, Financial Services will be responsible for assisting with strategy development, business development, recruiting, technical expertise, client / engagement management, as well as delivering services directly to clients within the financial services industry. This role is a stepping stone to becoming the Practice Director. Breakdown of the role is expected to be:
75% - Delivery/Engagement Management
10% - Recruiting, Strategy Development and Business Development

Responsibilities: 

Delivery/ Client/Engagement Management:
 Provide consulting services to clients. This may take the form of staff augmentation and/or working on multiple engagements.
 Proactively guide the client on strategic issues, leading strategic projects as appropriate.
 Present and participate in Board of Directors meetings, Executive Staff meetings and operations reviews.
 Capable of engaging in complex projects outside of consultant’s “comfort zone” and demonstrating commitment to successful completion.
 Take complete ownership of both client project and relationship to expand services and value to client
 Manage a portfolio of clients.

Strategy Development:
 Participate in the development and implementation of practice strategy.

Business Development and Technical Expertise:
 Identify new business opportunities.
 Develop and leverage personal network. Attend business forum events.
 Establish working relationships with clients.
 Generate revenue in service lines for local market, as well as assist in other markets nationally.
 Collaborate with local and national Management teams in RFP responses, meetings, etc.
 Attend meetings with clients and prospective clients as a subject matter expert to define and scope needs.
 Write blogs and present at conferences.
 Provide technical expertise in the financial services industry.
 Be a technical resource to consultants and clients by working as a team member on our Technical Team.
 Develop consulting tools and methodologies for our Knowledge Management tool.
 Develop and deliver training to consultants on technical topics pertaining to financial services.

Recruiting/Staff Development:
 Identify specific consultant profiles to hire.
 Work closely with corporate recruiting and participate in the interview process.
 Work with Management teams to recruit and retain the best available talent.
 Support and develop Accretive Solutions consultants.

Requirements: 

 Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience within the financial services industry.
 Big 4 experience preferred
 Consultant must be comfortable with dealing with ambiguity, flexibility, and be adaptable
 Similar experience in a professional services environment preferred
 Business development experience preferred
