Accretive Solutions’ Executive Search practice has been engaged by one of its clients to recruit a Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team, located in the Metro Detroit Area.

The Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for managing the worldwide consolidations process for all corporate entities and providing financial analysis.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage the consolidations process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Responsible for accounting of EPS, non-controlling interest and equity in affiliates.
• Prepare consolidating and adjusting entries for input into the consolidations database (HFM); oversee all activity related to the consolidations reporting system.
• Oversee analysis of various inter-company accounts and fixed asset roll-forward; prepare and analyze account reconciliation of balance sheet accounts; examine accounts for accuracy and makes necessary adjustments; and provide guidance to operating units regarding U.S. GAAP as necessary.
• Assist management with special projects: Analyze various accounts; provide management with detailed analysis related to financial questions; provide periodic reports and perform special studies for management.
• May participate in implementing new financial accounting standards and corporate accounting policies and procedures; Manage filing of quarterly and annual Census Bureau Informational Reports; Research new and changing Financial Accounting Standards and make recommendations on how company maintains compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments for special projects; and perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• Analyze and report financial information: Prepare various schedules for internal management reporting packages and Board of Directors (e.g. financial summary, income statement, profit & loss statement, cash flow statement, segment data, sales by customer, balance sheet, and forecast data) .
• Prepare analysis of currency impact on sales and profit by region, as well as other analyses of year over year variances; proofread script and tables in press release; and prepare and analyze stock report, including earnings per share and dilution of common stock.
• Prepare consolidated forecast and budget reports: Analyze year-over-year, actual vs. forecast, and current forecast vs. prior forecast data; prepare reconciliations and schedules as necessary.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, MBA Degree is a plus
• 4+ years of related experience
• CPA Certification required
